I love sending and receiving letters! If you write me I'll try to send a post card back. :)

For those who don't know, I went to the camp where my parents worked so I always had to see everyone else opening letters and it made me sad, so now I strongly encourage (beg/cry/threaten) my parents, family, and friends to write me to make up for all that lost time at camp. 

 Mail between the U.S. and Thailand can take anywhere from 7 to 10 days (or more!) to arrive. Please do *not* send packages. (I'll accept them when I'm back in Denver, though. :] )

  • Studies of natural dyes, weaving, and herbal medicine

TRAVEL:
  • Extensive multi-day backpacking (VERY rugged terrain) between villages
  • Extensive hiking while in the villages (to upland fields, etc.)
  • Backpacking and hiking will include multiple river crossings, with 6-9 hour days of travel on foot common.
HOUSING:
  • Homestays in villages with Karen (Bak’en’yaw) ethnic host families
LOCATION:
